Commercial Garage Doorman

Privacy policy

Plain language, because that is how we run the rest of the business. This page says what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. Last updated 23 Oct 2026.

What we collect

When you call, email, send the enquiry form or book service, we collect what we need to do the job: your name, company, phone number, email address, the site address, and details about the doors and equipment being serviced. If you are a maintenance-program customer, we also keep the service history for each door on your property, because that log is part of what you are paying for.

What we use it for

  • Scheduling, dispatching and performing the work you asked for
  • Quotes, invoices and service records
  • Contacting you about work in progress, or about a door we have flagged for follow-up

We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. It is shared only with the software and providers we use to run the business, such as scheduling and invoicing software, and only as far as running your job requires.

This website

The website has no accounts and no advertising cookies, and nothing here is sold or shared with advertisers. When you visit, our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to keep the site fast and secure, as almost every website’s host does. A few other things are worth naming plainly.

Visit statistics

We count visits using a first-party tool run by Blue Crane Works, the company that built this site. It records which pages were viewed, roughly where the visit came from, and which site sent you. It does not identify you and it does not follow you to other websites.

Microsoft Clarity

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are actually used: where people scroll, what they click, and a replay of the movements through a page. That is more than a page count and we would rather say so than bury it. It sets its own cookies and the recording is held by Microsoft.

What Clarity never records is anything you type. Microsoft states that content in input boxes “is masked in all modes and can’t be customized”, and that Clarity “never captures anything that is masked or sent over the wire”. That covers every box on the enquiry form: what you type into it is never in a recording, because the masking is not a setting anyone here could switch off.

The enquiry form

The form on the quote page and the contact page asks for your name, an optional company name, a phone number or an email, the site address or town, what you need, roughly how many doors, when, and a note in your own words. When you press send, it is stored on our hosting provider (Cloudflare) as a record of the enquiry and emailed to our office inboxes through Microsoft’s Azure email service. If you gave an email address, you get one confirmation email back. We use it to answer you and to quote the work, nothing else: no newsletter, no mailing list. The form also notes the page you sent it from and, if you arrived from an advert, which campaign sent you, so we know which adverts are worth paying for.

What an AI assistant can read here

This website publishes a machine-readable business card at /mcp, so an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude can read our published facts and search these pages when someone asks it about commercial door work.

  • It can send an enquiry for you, only if you agree. If you ask an assistant to contact us, it can pass on your name, a phone number or email, the site or town and what you need, the same things the enquiry form asks for. It must confirm you agree first, and the email we receive is marked as coming from an AI assistant so the office checks the details with you before booking anything.
  • We do not email you back through it. An address typed by an assistant has not been checked by anyone, so we reply by phone or from our own inbox, not with an automatic email.
  • Everything it can read is already public. The facts file and page index it searches contain only what is published on this website.

How long we keep it

Customer and job records are kept for as long as we need them to stand behind the work, honour warranties, and meet tax and legal record-keeping obligations, and then disposed of.
